Gail A. Brooks, CMP

Director, Meetings & Special Events      

Gail Brooks joined the WMR team in 2006. With over 30 years of association management experience, she has served as a meeting planner in the nonprofit arena throughout her career.  Additionally, Gail has worked extensively in chapter relations, professional certification, membership unification, training school coordination, tradeshow management and association consulting. Gail is a dynamic and innovative professional with vast experience in customer service, logistical arrangements and project management.

Gail currently serves as the Director of Meetings & Special Events for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Chicago (AFP Chicago), Executive Director for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events – Midwestern Chapter (IAEE-Midwestern Chapter), and Associate Director for the Chicago Compensation Association (CCA). She is a former chair of the Association Forum of Chicagoland’s, Holiday Showcase.

Parthavi Das

VP Operations & Client Strategies

Parthavi Das has over eighteen years of experience in association management. She was the Chief of Staff at WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications) where she oversaw strategy and operations. She was responsible for the development and execution of WICT advocacy initiatives, membership and chapter services and implementing the strategic plan for the organization. She led the PAR Initiative, WICT's effort to measure and support the advancement of women in the cable and telecommunications industry based on Pay equity, Advancement opportunities, and Resources for work/life integration. In addition, Parthavi managed the WICT recognition awards program.

Prior to joining WICT, Parthavi worked at international telecommunications organizations where she researched telecom policy issues. She has also worked as a consultant to nonprofits helping them to advance their advocacy programs. In addition she served on YWCA’s committee in Charleston, SC to launch their inaugural #WhatWomenBring event to the honor the top female leaders in South Carolina.

Parthavi has been recognized on CableFax’s Most Influential Minorities, Most Powerful Women and Women on the Move lists. She is a graduate of WICT's Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She earned a master’s degree in Telecommunication from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in Communication from Northwestern University.

Parthavi serves at the Senior Director for Content and Connectivity Human Resources (C2HR).


Sergio Esquivel-Ruiz

Accounting and Administration Coordinator

Sergio Esquivel-Ruiz joined WMR in 2017 focusing his talents in accounting and client operations. He currently assists in processing accounts receivables and payables, financial inquiry analysis and effective office processes. Prior to joining WMR, he honed his customer service skills through various service positions where he supervised employees and managed day-to-day operations.

Sergio is attending school seeking his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. When he’s not studying, he enjoys volunteering, going to the movies and playing with his puppy.


Scott Freeman

Chief Financial Officer 

Scott Freeman is Chief Financial Officer of Williams Management Resources.  He is a seasoned accounting and finance executive with more than 30 years of experience. Prior to joining WMR and forming his own financial management company 501 Financial Management, Scott served for ten years as CFO/COO of The Sherwood Group, one of the leading association management companies in the country. At Sherwood Scott was responsible for Sherwood’s operations group, including internal Financial Services, information technology, and the client accounting and payment processing departments which provided full service remote accounting services for 25 non-profit organizations across the country. He directed staff, oversaw the development of standards and compliance issues and strived for continuous improvement in all areas, including integration of processes and technology and production quality.

Prior to Sherwood, Scott served for six years as CFO and treasurer for Lamb’s Farm, a $12 million non-profit organization providing residential, vocational, social and recreational services to developmentally disabled adults. Among his successes at Lamb’s was a detailed analysis of business operations and vendor relations that resulted in reduced costs and increased funding from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

Scott is a CPA and has earned a BBA in accounting from Emory University, and an MBA from DePaul.  He brings highly regarded skills in accounting, finance, budget, cost reduction, audit preparation, efficiency and process improvement, and a technology-savvy outlook to all of his projects. He focuses on staff training, process integration and delivering information that is both useful and comprehensible to internal and external clients.

Scott understands the unique challenges that non-profits face on a daily basis, and will bring years of experience and expertise to our clients so they can focus on their mission, and continue to do the good work that they are passionate about. 

Colleen Gorniak

Program and Communications Administrator 

Colleen Gorniak joined the WMR team in July 2015.  Colleen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she earned her degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising.  Throughout college she worked on several projects that helped better her writing ability and communication skills.  In addition, she provided service to the community through her work with Habitat for Humanity and volunteering at local nursing homes. 

Colleen serves as the Communications and Program Administrator for the American Institute of Architects Northeast Illinois Chapter (AIA NEI) and Content and Connectivity Human Resources (C2HR).  

Kelly Jena, CMP

Director, Meetings and Client Services

Kelly comes to Williams Management Resources after five years at the Association Management Center(AMC) where she worked directly with multiple clients planning and supporting Annual Conferences, summits, board meetings, and educational meetings across a variety of disciplines. She was responsible for site searches, audio visual coordination, food and beverage, and onsite tactical logistics for both domestic and international meetings.

Kelly is known to go above and beyond for her clients. She often worked within tight client budgets, introduced creative ideas to improve client meetings, strategized and promoted educational offerings, and collaborated with all levels of management. Most recently, she stepped in to assist with the overall operations for the National Frame Building Association (NFBA). As the lead for NFBA operations, she worked directly with Board Members, the Executive Committee and the Convention Planning Committee. She organized and managed the development of board and committee agendas, educational meeting content, and served as the key liaison securing corporate support for the organization and annual expo. Kelly also participated in the development of new strategic marketing initiatives that focused on increasing the exposure NFBA has in the industry.

Kelly serves as the Director of Meeting & Events for Content and Connectivity Human Resources (C2HR) and the Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA), Executive Director for the American Institute of Architects Northeast Illinois Chapter (AIA NEI), and Account Director for the Chicago Council on Planned Giving (CCPG).

Kelly is a member of Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She currently sits on the PCMA Board of Directors and serves as the Board Liaison to the GMC PMCA Community Services Committee. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification. When she is not working on an upcoming meeting or volunteering, Kelly loves to spend time with her husband, Jon, and their two dogs Stella and Oslo.


Jackie Peiffer

Manager, Communications and Programs

Jackie joined WMR in June 2018. She has a wide range of experience in marketing and communications as well as in association and project management. She’s done everything from e-blasts to planning ribbon cutting events, from graphic design, web marketing to copywriting, and print production. Jackie is an insightful professional with a strong blend of technical and communication skills. As manager, she is responsible for working with staff, volunteer committees and the Board of Directors to develop and implement communications strategies and tactics for their associations.

Jackie serves as Manager, Communications and Programs for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Chicago (AFP Chicago), the International Association of Exhibitions and Events – Midwestern Chapter (IAEE-Midwestern Chapter), and the Chicago Compensation Association (CCA).


Carletta Seay

Manager, Membership & Registration Services

Carletta Seay joined the WMR team in March 2016. In the course of a diverse 18-year career, she is a proven professional in customer service, public relations, fundraising and event planning. Carletta earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree of business administration from Governors State University.

Carletta currently serves as the Manager of Membership and Registration for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Chicago Chapter (AFP Chicago) and the Chicago Compensation Association (CCA). Due to her experience in various business environments, Carletta has been a great asset and support to the team.  

Christine Teed

Program Coordinator

Christine Teed joined the WMR team in April of 2008, providing strong administrative and customer service skills. She provides WMR associations with assistance in developing and implementing membership, programs, board support and meetings.

Currently, Chris serves as the Program Coordinator for The Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA), The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) and The Communications Network (TCN). Prior to joining WMR, she was the Office Manager at WERC, a non-profit association of warehouse professionals.

Pamela V. Williams, CAE


Pamela Williams has over 30 years of experience in the association management field and has worked with both stand-alone and multi-management firms. She has served in management and executive positions with numerous local and national 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 organizations since she joined the professional community in 1979. In addition, Pam spent several years as an account executive and senior staff member at the association management firm PM Haeger & Associates, where she worked exclusively with one major client while also consulting with other associations and Haeger management.

She has direct personal experience as a volunteer on not-for-profit boards. Her significant volunteer leadership experience includes serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Association Forum of Chicagoland (2004-2005); member of the Forum’s Board of Directors (2000 – 2006; Executive Committee 2002 - 2006); and Chair of the Forum's Finance and Nominating Committees. Pam currently serves as a judge for the American Society of Association Executive’s (ASAE) “Power of A” Awards and is a volunteer for the local arts group Young Naperville Singers.

In addition to her role as President of WMR, Pam is the Executive Director of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Chicago (AFP Chicago) and Content and Connectivity Human Resources (C2HR). She earned the Certified Association Executive designation (CAE) in 1998 from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is also a member of The Association Forum, ASAE, the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP), and Board Source.
